Strengthening Quality and Environmental Commitments, PT Phapros Tbk Conducts ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 External Audits
Strong quality and environmental management systems are essential to ensuring consistent, effective, and compliant business operations. Reflecting its commitment to continual improvement, PT Phapros Tbk successfully conducted an ISO 9001 renewal audit on August 10–12, 2026, followed by an ISO 14001 surveillance audit on August 13–14, 2026.
The audit was attended by Phapros’ management, including President Director Intan Abdams Katoppo, Production Director Ida Rahmi Kurniasih, Finance, Risk Management and Human Resources Director Ferdinand Troedu, and Management Representative Aries Badrus Sholeh. The external audit team from PT LRQA Business Assurance and Inspection Services Indonesia comprised Chendra Yusianti, Oke Nuriayana, and Edy Suryawirawan.
The participation of management, the management representative, external auditors, and business units helped ensure a smooth process and assess the consistent and effective implementation of management systems. The audits also gave Phapros an opportunity to evaluate effectiveness, identify improvements, and strengthen readiness for changes in international standards.
The ISO 9001 audit focused on the implementation of the Quality Management System. Auditors assessed process conformity, documentation, operational controls, compliance with requirements, and the effectiveness of continual improvement. The objective was to obtain an objective, independent assessment of the integration of the management system into daily operations. Evaluation extended beyond administrative documentation to the alignment of corporate policies, procedures, on-site practices, and concrete evidence of effective implementation.
Meanwhile, the ISO 14001 surveillance audit aimed to ensure that the Environmental Management System continued to be consistently implemented and maintained throughout the certification period. It also examined conformity with standard requirements, legislation, other compliance obligations, and effective control of environmental aspects and impacts. In addition, auditors reviewed environmental performance, follow-up to previous findings, risks and opportunities, and continual-improvement measures.
The process involved document reviews, interviews with relevant personnel, and on-site verification. This approach enabled auditors to compare established procedures with actual implementation across different processes.
An important part of maintaining effective management systems is following developments in ISO standards. According to the source article, ISO 14001:2026 had been issued as the latest edition replacing its predecessor. This development was presented as important to keeping environmental management aligned with organizational requirements, environmental protection needs, and changing business conditions.
The article stated that migration to the newer standard would require planned preparations, including gap assessments, updates to organizational context and risk evaluations, procedural adjustments, enhanced employee competence, and assurance that implementation remains effective.
Through these external audits, Phapros maintained its ISO 9001:2015 certification through renewal and confirmed the continuation of ISO 14001:2015 implementation through surveillance. These achievements were presented as evidence of the company’s commitment to consistent quality and environmental management systems and compliance with relevant international standards.
Looking ahead, Phapros intends to strengthen management-system effectiveness, regulatory compliance, and preparedness for international standard developments. In response to the newer edition of ISO 14001 mentioned in the article, it plans to prepare for transition through gap analysis, system and procedure adjustments, workforce capability development, and stronger on-site implementation.
With continued consistency and collaboration across the company, successful recertification and continued ISO certification are expected to support product quality, process effectiveness, and environmentally responsible operations. Through collaboration and continual improvement, Phapros will keep strengthening its quality and environmental management systems in support of effective, sustainable business operations.
