Training on making snacks for posyandu cadres' fostered group.
This program was carried out in Ring 1 of PT Phapros Tbk with the target of Pelita Sehat and Mekarsari posyandu. The problem currently faced by posyandu cadres is a lack of funds for PMT (Supplementary Feeding) for toddlers. To overcome this problem, a snack-making program was implemented to increase the economy and add funds to meet the nutritional needs of toddlers. The chosen snacks for this training were dumplings and onion steak.
The Snack-Making Training was held on March 18, 2022, at the RW III Hall of Bongsari Village, West Semarang District. The training was attended by 7 cadres from Pelita Sehat posyandu and 10 cadres from Mekarsari posyandu. The event began with a prayer and was followed by speeches from Phapros PKBL, the Head of PKK Bongsari Village, Pokja IV Bongsari Village, and the Head of RW III Bongsari Village. The cadres were very enthusiastic about participating in the training. During the training, Phapros PKBL handed over 2 units of snack-making machines to the posyandu cadres to be used together in groups to make snacks. The recipe was prepared by one of the Pelita Sehat posyandu cadres (Mrs. Marta), who also served as the trainer/facilitator of the training.
The snack products were then given to Phapros PKBL for review by employees in the Secretariat, Legal and General unit. From the review, there were several suggestions to make dumplings with flavor variations such as chicken, shredded beef, etc. The taste was satisfying enough, but the texture could be improved to be more crispy and less hard. These constructive feedbacks will be evaluated to improve the quality of the product to make it more marketable.
