Encouraging Export Market Expansion to Africa, Phapros Participates in Indonesia-Africa Forum (IAF) 2024
On September 2-3, 2024, Phapros together with Bio Farma Group participated in the prestigious 2nd Indonesia-Africa Forum (IAF) held at Mulia Resort, Nusa Dua, Bali. This event became an important platform for Indonesian business players to build strategic cooperation with African countries. With the theme “Bandung Spirit for Africa's Agenda 2063”, the 2nd IAF invited representatives from 54 African countries to optimize the potential of business transactions between Indonesia and Africa.
One of the agendas in the Indonesia-Africa Forum (IAF) 2024 is the exhibition which is the main part of this forum. There are four leading sectors displayed, namely energy, food and consumer goods, strategic industry and defense, and health. Phapros together with Bio Farma Group, invited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, participated in the health sector section as one of the SOEs that has a major role in advancing the pharmaceutical industry in Indonesia.
This exhibition provides an opportunity for Phapros to showcase superior pharmaceutical product innovations while opening new cooperation opportunities with African partners. With the development of the healthcare industry in Indonesia and Africa, this forum is expected to increase exports and strengthen cooperation in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors between the two regions.
In addition to the exhibition, the forum also held a business matching between Bio Farma Group and the Government of Angola. This important meeting was attended by the Angolan Ministry of Health, Silvia Lutucuta, and the President Director of Kimia Farma Group, Djagad Prakasa Dwialam. The discussion opened up new cooperation opportunities in pharmaceutical development and health product distribution in Angola.
One of the major achievements of IAF 2024 was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Bio Farma Group and the National Pharmaceutical Company of Zimbabwe (NatPharm). This agreement is an important step towards establishing a strong framework between Phapros, as part of the Bio Farma Group, and NatPharm. The agreement covers pharmaceutical product development, distribution, and technological innovation in the healthcare industry, while strengthening Phapros' position as a strategic partner in supporting the advancement of healthcare in Africa.
Phapros' participation in IAF 2024 shows a great commitment to supporting global health, while expanding its reach in the African market. Phapros strives to be a strategic partner in developing the pharmaceutical industry, as well as playing a real role in improving access to health services in Africa. With various important achievements at IAF 2024, Phapros continues to strengthen its role at the international level and bring Indonesia increasingly recognized in the world health industry.
