Strategic Collaboration between APSAI and PT Phapros Tbk: “Creating Child-Friendly Companies”

On Friday, June 13, 2025, a coordination meeting was held between APSAI (Indonesian Child-Friendly Companies Association) and various APSAI member companies at PT Phapros' office, Jl. Imam Bonjol No.200, Semarang. This event aimed to strengthen the synergy between businesses and stakeholders in creating child-friendly environments and supporting the Child-Friendly City program in Semarang.

As the host, PT Phapros Tbk warmly welcomed the event. Helmy Hadi Hidayat, Manager of HC – Operations and Industrial Relations, stated that Phapros is committed to supporting child-friendly companies by providing lactation rooms, planning for daycare facilities for employee children, and supporting other child-friendly programs.

The Chairman of APSAI, Deddy Mulyadi, stated that the future of children is a shared responsibility, and the synergy of all parties is crucial in achieving this goal.

This coordination meeting was also part of APSAI’s visit to member companies to integrate their programs with APSAI’s initiatives and to raise awareness about preventing violence in the workplace.

Fery Alfazon, a representative from the Semarang City Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection Office (DPPPA), also provided insights on strategic issues related to women and children. He emphasized the importance of synergy based on the four pillars of child development as outlined in Article 72 of Law No. 35 of 2014, namely:

  1. Role of the Community
Both individuals and groups play a role in child protection through social institutions, education, or communities.

  2. Role of Business
Businesses can support female workers and children by providing:

    • Lactation rooms

    • Violence prevention regulations

    • Night work facilities for women

    • Special rooms for pregnant women

  3. Role of the Government
Encouraging policies, regulations, and oversight to ensure comprehensive child protection.

  4. Role of the Mass Media
Presenting educational, child-friendly content, and providing space for children’s expression and voices.

Through this coordination activity, it is hoped that more companies will actively participate in the Child-Friendly Company movement, thereby collectively strengthening the Child-Friendly City ecosystem in Semarang and other regions.
