Phapros Receives Certificate of Operation for Fire Protection Equipment from Semarang City Fire Department

Aspects of building safety requirements should not be ignored by any developer or owner of buildings that employ more than 100 people. One of the safety requirements that must be met is the building's fire protection system. The condition of the Phapros fire protection system based on the results of inspection and testing in 2021 is stated to not meet the requirements, namely the hydrant output pressure still does not meet the minimum standard of 4.5 bar and also the need for improvements to the fire alarm system. In addition, the number of buildings in Semarang City that have obtained a Certificate of Operational Feasibility (SKLO) or Certificate of Operational Feasibility (SLO) for fire protection systems from the Fire Department is only 17 buildings.

Following up on these discrepancies, Phapros in 2022-2024 made a number of investments for improvements and additions to the building's fire protection system. In 2022-2023, the investment focused on improving the fire alarm system. In 2023, the investment focused on improving the fire hydrant system and adding fire alarm systems in the warehouse area and RnD building.

After a long repair process, on December 4, 2024, Semarang City Fire Department led by Mr. Tantri Pradono, S.H. as Head of Prevention, accompanied by Phapros team, inspected and tested the building fire protection equipment.

The inspection and test were conducted on fire hydrant system, alarm system, fire extinguisher, and fire suppression system. From the inspection results, the existing fire protection system is in good condition, operationally feasible and meets fire protection standards.

On that occasion, Phapros represented by Imam Ariff Juliadi expressed his gratitude to the Fire Department Team for inspecting, assisting, and fostering the completeness of the fire protection system properly.

And with this result, Phapros is entitled to get a Certificate of Operation of Fire Protection Equipment from Semarang City Fire Department. This SLO is a form of Phapros' responsibility and attention to the community in ensuring safety and comfort. In addition, the Certificate of Operation of fire protection equipment of the building is one of the requirements in applying for SLF as mentioned in Law Number 28 of 2002 concerning Building, that one of the requirements in applying for a certificate of fitness for function (SLF) of the building must meet safety requirements, namely the ability of the building to prevent and overcome fire hazards.
