Phapros Donates 800 Packages of Jamu as a Means of Maintaining Endurance Against Covid-19 to Semarang City Government

Semarang, 18th of May 2020 - PT Phapros Tbk, which is one of the subsidiaries owned by PT Kimia Farma Tbk, gave 800 packages of jamu - herbal medicine usually served in the form of powder or drinks - to Semarang City Government, Central Java. Each package consists of 5 sachets, or a total of 4,000 sachets.

President Director of PT Phapros Tbk, Barokah Sri Utami (Emmy) explained that this action was implemented to support one of the Semarang City Government's programs to prevent the transmission of Covid-19, which is currently epidemic.

“This is a complement to the multivitamin products that we donated through Semarang City Government last March, "she added.

The herbal concoction is made from ginger, turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, rock sugar, lemongrass, and citrus that can boost the immune system so that people who consume it are expected to be protected from the transmission of Covid-19.

“Various research journals agree that the herbal plants contained in this jamu can help boost immunity, and because they are made from natural ingredients, this product is very safe for regular consumption."Emmy added.

Phapros has carried out social responsibility programs dedicated for the community to annihilate Covid-19 outbreak. Few of them are the handover of 100 multivitamin boxes and 100 liters of hand sanitizers to the Central Java Provincial Government and Semarang City Government as well as providing preventive education to local community regarding the use of cloth mask as an alternative to prevent the transmission of Covid-19, and donating 1.100 packages of basic food necessities to the community and Phapros Retirees affected by the outbreak.
