Amidst Covid-19 Pandemic, Phapros Distributes Basic Necessity Packages to Medical Personnel in Semarang

PT Phapros Tbk has taken various preventive measures to anticipate the transmission of the corona virus (COVID-19). One of the efforts made by the management is assisting in the form of delivering food or basic necessities for medical personnel who are struggling at the forefront in dealing with Covid-19.

President Director of PT Phapros, Tbk, Hadi Kardoko said that the assistance in the form of 216 staple food packages, was distributed to medical personnel on duty at five health centers in Semarang City, Central Java, close to the location of the PT Phapros Tbk factory. The five health centers are Ngemplak Simongan Health Center, Manyaran Health Center, Lebdosari Health Center, Karangayu Health Center and Krobokan Health Center.

"We know that medical personnel are currently trying to provide the best service for the community in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, we submit this assistance as a form of moral support accompanied by hopes and prayers so that these medical personnel will continue to be given health and strength in carrying out their duties," said Hadi Kardoko.

This staple food assistance for medical personnel in West Semarang complements the assistance for medical personnel previously provided by PT Phapros, which was 1 unit of a 6 x 10 meter tent to the Ngemplak Simongan Health Center that can be used as a waiting room for patients in the middle of soaring Covid-19 cases, and also multivitamins and hand sanitizers for medical personnel at the Covid-19 Emergency Hospital, Wisma Atlet, Jakarta which were distributed through BNPB in early July.

Although currently the government has implemented emergency PPKM due to a significant spike in Covid-19 cases, Phapros President Director Hadi Kardoko ensured that operational activities at the Phapros factory located in the Simongan area, Semarang, Central Java, proceed normally with very strict health protocols in accordance with the Government regulations.

"We have a special protocol to prevent Covid-19 transmission in the company environment. We also keep our business processes in the factory running normally, including producing medicines and multivitamins needed by the people, due to our company which is included in the category of a critical industry. On the other hand, we also facilitate employees by providing Covid-19 vaccinations, vitamins, hand sanitizers, and masks to minimize the risk of transmission, as well as enforcing the one hundred percent work from home (WFH) rule for supporting employees. As well as for production employees, we apply a shift system for working hours in accordance with health protocols, through self-screening and random antigen tests every day," he explained.
