Phapros Supports Hydrocephalus Surgery in Tobelo, North Maluku

NORTH HALMAHERA, December 12, 2025. PT Phapros Tbk (PEHA) once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting the improvement of public health in the eastern region of Indonesia by participating in the "Governor's Christmas Gift in the Month of Love" event. This activity included operations for hydrocephalus patients and examinations for toddlers to prevent stunting, held at RSUD Tobelo, North Halmahera Regency, North Maluku Province, on Friday (12/12/2025).

The event, which was attended directly by the Governor of North Maluku, Ibu Sherly Tjoanda, is a form of concern for children's health in the area and direct assistance for families in need.

The hydrocephalus surgery used the Inashunt product, a domestically produced medical device resulting from a collaboration between Phapros and Universitas Gadjah Mada. This innovative product is designed to assist in the safe and effective management of the condition of fluid buildup in the brain (hydrocephalus).

Plt. President Director of PT Phapros Tbk, Ida Rahmi Kurniasih, in a different location, stated that Phapros' support is in line with the company's commitment to strengthening national medical device self-sufficiency and expanding its utilization in regional health facilities.

"Inashunt is a domestically produced product developed to help manage hydrocephalus with affordable and quality technology. We are proud that this product, the work of the nation's children, can support healthcare services in North Maluku and assist patients in need," said Ida.

Ida also emphasized that Phapros' support for the local government program is the company's effort to be closer to the community and strengthen the role of the national pharmaceutical industry in priority health issues. This is in line with Danantara's directive to Serve Wholeheartedly.

"Hydrocephalus and stunting are health challenges that require rapid and collaborative intervention. Through this support, we hope that more patients and toddlers will receive early treatment so that the quality of public health can improve," she added.

The surgical procedures performed by Neurosurgeon Specialists and the toddler examinations for stunting prevention at RSUD Tobelo also served as a momentum to demonstrate Phapros' capacity as an increasingly integrated producer of pharmaceuticals and medical devices.

Ibu Sherly Tjoanda expressed her highest appreciation to the central government, local government, and PT Phapros Tbk for the realization of this first collaboration, which made North Halmahera the location for the CSR program for hydrocephalus management. She hopes that the two babies who underwent surgery can have normal growth and development and have better activities.

"This program gives new hope to families, restoring the belief that these children have the opportunity to live healthier and more productive lives," said Sherly in her speech.

Phapros continues to affirm its commitment to promoting the availability of domestically produced pharmaceutical products and medical devices in Indonesia's furthest regions, in order to support the government's program to strengthen national health resilience.
