Phapros Supports Bakti Indonesia at Sam Poo Kong, Providing Community Health Services and Strengthening Diversity

SEMARANG, August 6, 2026 – PT Phapros Tbk, a subsidiary of PT Kimia Farma Tbk and part of Danantara Indonesia, is supporting the Bakti Indonesia: Social Charity Movement in Indonesia’s Diversity initiative organized by the Yayasan Bakti Keberagaman Indonesia (YBKI), held at the Sam Poo Kong Temple in Semarang, Central Java, from August 6–8, 2026.

Intan Abdams Katoppo, President Director of PT Phapros Tbk, stated that the initiative plays an important role in fostering social awareness while strengthening the spirit of diversity through healthcare services and humanitarian activities for people from all walks of life.

“This initiative is aligned with the social pillar of Phapros’ Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) policy, which focuses on improving health and the quality of human resources in surrounding communities. Therefore, we are pleased to support YBKI’s initiative in delivering tangible benefits to the community,” Intan said on Thursday (August 6, 2026).

According to her, the Sam Poo Kong Temple, as the venue for the event, holds symbolic significance as a representation of cultural acculturation and a tangible manifestation of tolerance and interfaith harmony, which have long been part of Indonesia’s historical and social fabric.

Intan expressed hope that the initiative would benefit the community while further strengthening solidarity amid diversity. Members of the public can access various healthcare services free of charge, including general health examinations, dental check-ups, eye examinations, cardiac examinations, and early breast cancer detection.

As part of Bakti Indonesia, Phapros is also supporting free medical treatment services by providing medicines and multivitamins to the public. This support reflects Phapros’ commitment to expanding access to healthcare services while delivering tangible benefits to communities through its TJSL programs.

In addition, YBKI has organized a series of public discussions and health talks featuring speakers from various backgrounds, including healthcare practitioners, cultural figures, community leaders, and public figures. Among them are Sujiwo Tejo and Inayah Wahid, who share their perspectives on nationalism, tolerance, and diversity.

YBKI is also featuring experts in health and psychology, including Dr. Riamiyati and psychologist Peter Nelwan, to educate the public on the importance of maintaining both physical and mental health.

Phapros’ TJSL Initiatives

Phapros implements its TJSL programs through four core pillars to promote holistic sustainability.

The social pillar focuses on improving health and the quality of human resources in surrounding communities. The economic pillar focuses on empowering independent local MSMEs through a circular economy approach. The environmental pillar focuses on coastal rehabilitation and biodiversity conservation, while the legal and governance pillar promotes transparency and regulatory compliance.

Under the economic pillar, Phapros has conducted eco-enzyme training programs that convert waste, such as fruit and vegetable peels, into high-value products for five MSME groups. Products developed through the initiative include natural floor cleaners, liquid organic fertilizer (POC), and antibacterial soap.

Under its environmental and conservation pillar, Phapros carries out coastal resilience and biodiversity programs aimed at protecting ecosystems through tangible actions, including coastal forest rehabilitation and biodiversity preservation.

Through these initiatives, Phapros has contributed 1,030 mangrove seedlings planted across North Semarang and the Semarang Mangrove Centre, as well as 130 sea pine trees to support the Mageri Segoro program. The company has also contributed plants to expand the varieties of Cupa-cupa, Mocambo, and Cupuacu within its biodiversity conservation area.

In addition, Phapros’ TJSL program has disbursed IDR 4.19 billion in MSME funding, providing working capital loans to 58 new partners throughout 2025.

Phapros also operates the Siger Wanita Program in Rahtawu Village, Kudus, a strategic initiative launched in December 2025 to improve the health of adolescent girls through anemia prevention education.
