Phapros (PEHA) Holds Plogging Event to Commemorate Indonesia's 80th Independence Day: Realizing the Spirit of Independence with a Clean Environment

SEMARANG, July 13, 2025 – PT Phapros Tbk, a national pharmaceutical company based in Semarang, celebrated Indonesia's 80th Independence Day by holding a community environmental care event through Plogging Day. This activity, which involved a fun walk (jogging) and cleaning up the environment by picking up litter along the route, took place on Sunday, July 13, 2025, starting at 06:00 WIB. The Plogging event was attended by hundreds of employees who gathered at the departure point, which was the Phapros office on Jalan Imam Bonjol, Semarang.

As is well known, Plogging is a combination of "jogging" and "picking up litter," which is a tangible contribution from the company in maintaining environmental cleanliness while also encouraging a healthy lifestyle. Zahmilia Akbar, Corporate Secretary of Phapros, stated that this plogging activity demonstrates the spirit of independence of all Phapros employees in welcoming the 80th Independence Day, which is a special moment for the people of Indonesia.

Furthermore, Zahmilia also mentioned that this activity was conducted as a manifestation of Phapros' (PEHA) commitment to implementing sustainability values and corporate social responsibility to the community and the environment around Phapros Semarang. In addition, this activity not only helps participants maintain physical health but also enables them to take part in cleaning the environment around them.

The Plogging started with participants jogging while picking up trash along the route from Jalan Imam Bonjol, then heading towards Pandanaran through Jalan Pierre Tendean and Jalan Pemuda, circling Simpang Lima, and returning to Jalan Imam Bonjol. At the end of the event, the collected trash was gathered and weighed. The total amount of trash collected was 40 plastic bags or around 50 kilograms of waste, including plastic bottles, cardboard, and other types of trash. Phapros hopes that this Plogging activity can become a regular company agenda and continue to raise awareness of the importance of maintaining the surrounding environment, concluded Zahmilia.

In Q1 2025, Phapros achieved a sales growth of 79% year-on-year (YoY) for its OTC segment, which includes over-the-counter drugs available without a prescription. The leading OTC products for PEHA include Antimo Group, Becefort, Livron B Plex, and Noza. Additionally, Phapros also managed to increase sales of ethical products by 40% YoY in Q1 2025.

Phapros' transformation across all business lines up to Q1 2025 has proven to be effective in increasing sales performance. Furthermore, Phapros’ products are not only sold domestically but are also exported to various countries, including Timor Leste, Cambodia, Philippines, Cambodia, and Peru. In the future, the company is prepared to expand its market to Myanmar and Papua New Guinea.
