Phapros Introduces New Product for Adult Men's Health at INASAU 2025
LOMBOK, December 20, 2025 – PT Phapros Tbk (PEHA) reaffirms its commitment to supporting the improvement of men's health quality through its participation and support at The 4th InaSAU Meeting organized by the Indonesian Society of Andrological Urology (InaSAU) on December 19-20, 2025, in Lombok.
In this scientific forum, Phapros launched its latest product in the adult men's health therapy segment in the form of an oral dissolving film (ODF), designed to improve usage convenience and patient compliance.
Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a male sexual disorder characterized by the inability to achieve or maintain an erection sufficient for satisfactory sexual activity. Based on various clinical studies, the prevalence of ED increases with age and is often associated with comorbid diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, hormonal disorders, as well as psychological and lifestyle factors. Unfortunately, ED is still often considered taboo, so many sufferers are late in receiving appropriate medical treatment.
Through scientific and educational sessions at the InaSAU Meeting, Phapros encourages the understanding that erectile dysfunction is not merely a quality of life issue, but can also be an early indicator of more serious health conditions, making it important to be treated medically and comprehensively.
According to a study conducted in 2021, the use of Tadalafil ODF by ED sufferers was proven effective and safe for on-demand use when needed, thereby helping to improve quality of life.
Acting President Director of PT Phapros Tbk, Ida Rahmi Kurniasih, stated that the introduction of this therapeutic innovation aligns with Phapros' commitment to presenting health solutions focused on patient needs and consistent with current clinical practice developments.
"Tadalafil-based therapy in ODF form is developed with technology that allows the drug to dissolve in the mouth without requiring water, making it more practical to use, providing comfort for patients, and supporting a relatively fast onset of action with a long duration of effect," she said.
Regarding the mechanism of action, tadalafil is a phosphodiesterase-5 (PDE-5) inhibitor that plays a role in increasing blood flow to the corpus cavernosum, thereby helping to facilitate and maintain an erection. With a duration of action that can reach up to 36 hours, this therapy provides flexibility in usage timing and supports the patient's quality of life in daily activities.
"We consider continuous collaboration with medical professional organizations crucial to strengthening education, knowledge exchange, and the application of evidence-based therapy in men's health management," said Ida.
Phapros hopes that active participation in The 4th InaSAU Meeting 2025 and the introduction of this therapeutic innovation can contribute significantly to raising awareness, encouraging early diagnosis, and strengthening the quality of erectile dysfunction management in Indonesia.
Chairman of INASAU, Dr. dr. Widi Atmoko, Sp.U(K), FECSM, revealed that the prevalence of erectile dysfunction in Indonesia is classified as higher than the global average. Based on research conducted in Indonesia, the prevalence rate of erectile dysfunction reaches more than 30 percent, while globally it is in the range of 14 percent.
"This figure shows that the magnitude of the erectile dysfunction problem in Indonesia is quite high. This becomes a health issue that needs serious attention, both from the medical side and public education," he said.
"With the presence of medication like this, therapeutic options for patients become broader. In terms of mechanism of action, this drug is still in the PDE-5 inhibitor class, but with characteristics of a duration of action that can be longer compared to several similar therapies," he explained.
As an organization under the auspices of urology with a focus on men's health and andrology aspects, INASAU views collaboration with various parties as a strategic step to improve service quality and scientific development.
"INASAU indeed focuses on deepening urology from a men's health perspective. Going forward, cooperation becomes very important so that we can together improve services to patients while driving the development of science," he concluded.
