Phapros Initiates Audience and Collaboration with Semarang City DLH to Alleviate Environmental Issues

PT Phapros Tbk as one of the companies committed to environmental management participated in the hearing program of the Regional Environmental Management Performance Information Document (DIKPLHD) and the Environmental Protection and Management Plan (RPPLH) of Semarang City 2024-2054. From the results of the hearing, there are major environmental issues that become the main focus of environmental protection and management in Semarang City. To follow up on this activity, PT Phapros Tbk representatives from the EHS department and TJSL department conducted an audience and benchmarking directly to the Semarang City DLH on October 31, 2024.

The audience began with a discussion of the main environmental problems found in Semarang City, including waste management, liquid waste management, and natural disasters. In this activity also presented the environmental protection and management program initiated by DLH Semarang City in the form of Community Program for Climate (PROKLIM), Adiwiyata Program, and management of Non-B3 Waste TPS carried out in community areas. As for the internal program in the DLH Semarang City area, there is the management of biodiversity protection parks, biopores, eco enzyme making, ecobricking, and integrated waste bank management. Apart from DLH Semarang City, PT Phapros Tbk also explained the environmental and social management programs that have been carried out in the company area and community area. These programs include eco innovation of natural resources within the company, external biodiversity protection programs carried out in the conservation area of Taman Pelangi PGOT Mardi Utomo and mangrove planting on the coast of Semarang City, community empowerment programs and environmental management in the PGOT Mardi Utomo area, community empowerment programs and environmental management in ring 1 of Bongsari Village. After the presentation of the program, identification of potential collaboration programs that will be carried out in the ring 1 area of PT Phapros Tbk with the concept of community empowerment and PROKLIM. The follow-up agenda that will be carried out is direct benchmarking to the flagship location of PROKLIM Semarang City, further coordination meetings with several related stakeholders, planning and implementation of collaboration programs, program monitoring and evaluation, to the program reporting stage. At the end of this audience session, the EHS Manager handed over the environmental innovation book and the biodiversity monitoring report by the TJSL Manager to the Semarang City DLH representative. The submission of this report is a form of publication of environmental management programs to the government. In addition to coordination activities in the room, representatives from PT Phapros Tbk also conducted direct benchmarking to the environmental management areas of DLH Semarang City, including orchid gardens, biopores, ecobrick gardens, integrated waste banks, and eco enzyme manufacturing sites .

The initiation of this audience is expected to open opportunities for the sustainability of synergistic cooperation programs between PT Phapros Tbk and DLH Semarang City in the management and alleviation of environmental issues in Semarang City.
