Phapros Distributes Multivitamins and Hand Sanitizers to help Medical Personnel Maintaining Their Immune System

PT Phapros Tbk, a subsidiary of PT Kimia Farma Tbk, has made various prevention efforts to anticipate the transmission of the corona virus (COVID-19). One of the efforts made by the management is the delivery of assistance in the form of multivitamins and hand sanitizers to maintain the immune system of health workers. This assistance, which was handed over through the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), also adds to the similar assistance that Phapros has provided to the Government since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020.

President Director of PT Phapros, Tbk, Hadi Kardoko said, the assistance was of 100 boxes of multivitamins produced by Phapros, namely Becefort, more than 900 tubes of vitamin C effervescent produced by Phapros' subsidiary, PT Lucas Djaja Group, and more than 800 bottles of hand sanitizer.

"We are aware that the number of Covid-19 cases has increased significantly in the past few weeks. On July 6, it even reached more than 31,000 new daily cases. Thus, more extra health services are needed to the community, this certainly cannot be separated from the great need for support from fellow health workers who are the heroes on the front line. Therefore, we distribute this assistance directly to the National Board of Disaster Management (BNPB) so that it will then be handed over to medical personnel at the Covid-19 Emergency Hospital in order to suppress the spread of Covid-19, and as a form of moral support accompanied by hopes and prayers to health workers wherever they are, we hope that they will always be blessed by health and strength to provide the best service for the community,” said Hadi.

Hadi added that this assistance is also a form of Phapros' social responsibility in the field of public health. He also said that the vitamin content in the products made by Phapros and its subsidiaries was very effective in maintaining the immune system.

"The vitamin content is quite complete, there are 500 milligrams of vitamin C, vitamin E, and vitamin B Complex which can help maintain the immunity of the community, especially medical personnel who are currently struggling against the Covid-19 pandemic," he added.

Although currently the government has implemented an emergency PPKM due to a significant spike in Covid-19 cases, Hadi ensured that operational activities at the Phapros factory located in the Simongan area, Semarang, Central Java, continue normally.

"We already have a special protocol to prevent Covid-19 in the company environment. We also keep our business processes in the factory running normally, including producing medicines and multivitamins needed by the people. In order to continue fulfilling the community's need for multivitamins and medicines, we also facilitate employees by providing Covid-19 vaccinations, vitamins, hand sanitizers, and masks to minimize the risk of transmission, as well as enforcing the one hundred percent work from home (WFH) rule for supporting employees. .

Meanwhile, for production employees, we apply shift system arrangements and working hours with very strict health protocols, through self-screening, random antigen tests every day, giving multivitamins, hand sanitizers, masks and other supporting equipment." He further explained.
