Phapros Disburses UMK Funding Program Totaling IDR 2.912 Billion as of September 2025
Semarang, September 17, 2025 – PT Phapros Tbk, a national pharmaceutical company, once again demonstrates its commitment to supporting the growth of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) by distributing partnership funds amounting to IDR 2.9 billion as of September 2025 to 38 assisted partners spread across Jabodetabek, Central Java, West Java, and East Java. This program is an implementation of Phapros’ Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) focused on empowering UMKM to enable micro-business actors to upgrade and compete in wider markets.
Acting President Director of PT Phapros Tbk, Ida Rahmi Kurniasih, familiarly known as Ida, explained that the support provided by the company with stock code PEHA, is not only limited to financial aspects but also designed as a comprehensive empowerment strategy.
"Through the partnership program, Phapros not only disburses capital but also builds a supporting ecosystem for UMKM. With a fairly strict selection process, we select assisted partners who have commitments and potential to grow. The partners receive coaching which includes increasing production capacity, implementing sustainable business practices, as well as strengthening simple and transparent financial management. We also encourage assisted partners to utilize digital platforms more intensively to broaden their business reach. Thus, the guided UMKM do not merely survive but have the competitiveness to upgrade and penetrate broader markets," said Ida.
According to data from the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs (KemenKopUKM) of the Republic of Indonesia in 2024, it is proven that UMKM serves as the backbone of the national economy, with this sector contributing over 60% to the national Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and absorbing 97% of the workforce, as well as empowering more than 60 million business units across Indonesia.
At the same occasion, Trianto, one of the fund recipients from PEHA in phase III and the owner of a UMKM processing the fruit Parijoto, scientifically known as Medinilla speciosa or Asian grape, a rare plant growing in the Muria mountains in Kudus regency, highly appreciated the assistance and strengthening programs for UMKM carried out by PT Phapros Tbk since 1997.
"Our hope is that this business will continue to grow with the assistance from Phapros, so it can penetrate export markets and provide wider economic benefits for the community. Including opening opportunities for farmers to prosper more. Thank you to Phapros for continually supporting UMKM, hoping for more success and prosperity," he concluded.
On the other hand, the Chairman of the Indonesian Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Entrepreneurs Association (Hipmikindo), Syahnan Phalipi, stated that corporate CSR programs today are directed to improve UMKM performance and are a strategic and very beneficial step. Since UMKM are the backbone of the national economy, support from corporations in the form of training, accessibility, mentorship, financing, marketing, to digitalization will help improve the competitiveness of micro, small, and medium business actors amid global competition.
"We hope that CSR is not only short-term or merely for image building but must be sustainable and accurately targeted. With a good synergy between corporations and UMKM, we can foster a healthier business ecosystem, increase labor absorption, and expand UMKM’s contribution to Indonesia's economy," he said.
