Munggahan Ramadan 1445 H at PT Phapros Tbk

Marhaban ya Ramadan..

To welcome the holy month of Ramadan, PT Phapros Tbk held an event called "Munggahan," attended by all employees in a hybrid format at the Al-Ikhlas Mosque and via Zoom on Friday, March 13, 2024.

Present at the event was Phapros' Production Director, Ida Rahmi Kurniasih. In her address, she conveyed that "Munggahan" is a tradition in Java which means ascending to a higher position, and Ramadan is a special moment, so "Munggahan" is preparation towards goodness in the month of Ramadan to deepen one's spirituality while fasting in this blessed month.

Generally, this tradition involves cleansing oneself, cleaning places of worship, visiting graves, and reconciling with relatives.

The event continued with a Tausiyah session led by Al-Ustadz Azizul Ulum. In his Tausiyah, Ustadz Ulum mentioned that Allah SWT revealed 3 commands in the month of Sha'ban, which are the command to send blessings upon the Prophet Muhammad SAW., the command to change the qibla direction from Al-Aqsa Mosque to Masjid al-Haram, and the command to fast during Ramadan. Each of these commands strengthens the others.

Furthermore, in the narration of Abi Ummah Al Baahili RA., Prophet Muhammad SAW. said that when the month of Sha'ban enters, one should purify their soul and body, and also improve their intentions. The implementation of this hadith is expected to restore the innate purity of humans to prepare for the arrival of Ramadan.

Ustadz Ulum concluded the Tausiyah with a collective prayer. In this "Munggahan" moment, it is hoped that individuals can cleanse themselves from all sins, improve their intentions by doing things solely for the sake of Allah, and serve as a platform to foster tolerance, mutual respect, and harmony in relationships with others.
