High Commitment to Performance and Sustainability, Phapros (PEHA) Wins Green PROPER Award Again

JAKARTA, April 8, 2026 — PT Phapros Tbk (PEHA), one of Indonesia's leading pharmaceutical companies, remains committed to implementing sustainable practices throughout its operational processes. This commitment is realized through 5 successful flagship programs: energy and water efficiency, reduction of hazardous and toxic waste (B3) and non-hazardous waste (non-B3), and management of non-B3 waste through 3R (reduce, reuse, and recycle).

Additionally, the company continues to analyze environmental impacts or Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) in production processes to ensure full compliance, even moving beyond compliance.

Due to this commitment to sustainability, PEHA successfully won the 2025 Corporate Performance Rating Program (PROPER) Green Award from the Ministry of Environment. The award was received by Phapros at Sasono Langen Budoyo TMII Jakarta on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, attended by the Minister of Environment and Head of the Indonesian Environmental Management Agency, Mr. Hanif Faisol Nurofiq.

In his speech, he emphasized that PROPER has evolved far beyond its original function as a compliance instrument.

"PROPER is no longer just an administrative evaluation tool. PROPER is a transformation motor that drives companies to not only comply but to exceed compliance through innovation, resource efficiency, and real contributions to society," said Minister Hanif.

Ida Rahmi Kurniasih, Acting President Director of PT Phapros Tbk, stated that Phapros is committed to sustainability in supporting the government's agenda to achieve net zero emissions by 2060 or earlier. Therefore, the company ensures that operational processes adhere to environmental standards, ranging from energy efficiency and emission reduction to eco-friendly innovation and the use of clean energy such as solar panels.

These strategic environmental steps also have a positive impact on the company's financial performance.

"We are proud to once again win the Green PROPER award as a manifestation of Phapros' commitment to implementing sustainable and environmentally friendly practices. Leadership is a key factor in ensuring that operations at Phapros always adhere to environmental aspects and compliance standards while realizing sustainable company performance growth," Ida asserted.

Regarding energy efficiency and emission reduction, Phapros has increased the use of clean energy by optimizing electricity through process improvements, technology, and SOPs. Efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions (CO2,CH4,N2O) are also carried out through operational efficiency. To reduce hazardous waste (B3), Phapros has 21 programs that have successfully reduced B3 waste volume by 17.62 tons. Furthermore, the company manages 121.31 tons of non-B3 waste through 17 programs.

5 Flagship Programs

Phapros has several flagship programs as a form of its commitment to supporting sustainability:

  • First: Adjusting the size of chillers by replacing 2 large-capacity chillers (90 TR) with medium-capacity ones (65 TR) using the eco-friendly refrigerant R290. This innovation resulted in absolute energy savings of 1,055.23 GJ.

  • Second: Boiler technology transition, modifying the boiler system from a fire tube type to a more efficient and modern once-through type using CNG fuel.

  • Third: Syringe Filter modification by changing the use of 3 disposable filters to 1 filter with a reusable holder system.

  • Fourth: Utilization of RO 1 concentrate water for domestic/lavatory needs within the company area. Previously, this RO concentrate water was discarded as waste, potentially wasting clean water.

  • Fifth: PLM packaging material reformulation. This program reduced non-B3 waste generation by 6.73 tons.

By the end of 2025, Phapros has implemented:

  • 16 Energy Efficiency Programs with a total absolute of 33,824.80 GJ.

  • 16 Emission Reduction Programs totaling 3,442.74 Tons CO2e.

  • 21 B3 Waste Reduction Programs totaling 17.62 Tons.

  • 17 Waste 3R Programs totaling 121.31 Tons.

  • 13 Water Efficiency Programs totaling 11,488.12 m³.

Beyond technical aspects, Phapros is active in community empowerment through environmental programs such as "Terangi Bongsari" (providing LED and solar-powered lights), planting tree seedlings for emission reduction, and building a Compost House.

Aligned with its prominent role in sustainability, Phapros has proven healthy financial performance throughout 2025. Based on audited financial reports as of December 31, 2025, Phapros achieved 26% sales growth and 109% profit growth. With more efficient operational costs, the company successfully reduced the cost of goods sold by 5.41% y-o-y. This efficiency strategy also led to a 14.64% year-on-year decrease in operating expenses. With the spirit of sustainability and strong 2025 performance, Phapros is optimistic about facing the challenges of 2026.
